Willa and the Bear
Written and Illustrated by Philomena O’Neill
Publisher’s Synopsis: More than anything, Willa adores her ragdoll, Rosie, made just for her by Grandma. Together, through the seasons, they picnic, pick berries, and jump in piles of leaves. But one winter’s day, on a bumpy sleigh ride to Grandma’s birthday dinner, Rosie falls into the snow and disappears. Willa is inconsolable—and not even a new gift from Grandma helps. Then, mysteriously, Rosie reappears at Grandma’s door. Can Willa find a way to thank the special friend who returned her doll? With its charming folk-style illustrations, this beautiful picture book will warm the heart of every child who has ever had a favorite, beloved toy.

My granddaughter is reading so well now that it would be fun to win so she could read me a bedtime story! She lost her favorite stuffed bunny…Rabbi…but found it under the seat in the car where he had been hiding all the time.
I looked through the book, as much as possible, on Amazon. I am a kindergarten teacher and I would love to win this set for my own kinder-bear classroom. I love the concept of following Willa through the seasons and love having a book my little ones can make connections. We love Corduroy, but I think all of my littles would love a book to make comparisons to the adventures.
Once we lost my daughter’s stuffed cat in the airport! Even the airport employees were searching and just as the plane doors were closing, one ran up and handed us “Miss Kitty” that he’d found. Crisis averted!
Why do you want to win this giveaway? Can you tell us about a time you or your kiddo(s) lost their favorite toy?

I love giving books as presents and my kids enjoy reading! My kiddos actually left some toys at the local river during the summer this year and were very upset about it. We went back to look but they were gone. We came to the conclusion that hopefully another kid got them and are loving themmas much as they loved them.
I would love to share this with my niece and nephew, I think they would both enjoy it.
My kids would love this
I want to win because the twins would love this book.
When we were kids our parents took us on an interstate road trip and my sister left her beloved stuffed Hoppity Hooper frog at a motel somewhere in Pennsylvania. Imagine her surprise and joy when a big box showed up on our doorstep with Hoppity inside. The motel staff were kind enough to mail it to us.
I’d like to win to share this book with my nephew.
I love children’s books and sharing them with family and friends! I can’t think of a time my son lost a toy, but I can imagine it would be a moment full of tears…
I want to win this giveaway so that I can continue to instill the love of reading in my children. I have four children so it would be hard to remember just one time they lost their absolute favorite toy.

Would love for my children
My daughter lost her stuffed animal called Fluffy Puppy at the mall when she was young. As a mom of 3 at the time, we retraced our steps and came up empty, so she had a meltdown. Her “puppy” was even on a leash and was a “lovey.” My kids are starting to have children of their own and read to them.
This book would be a great addition to my son’s library. He’s two so we are always looking for great quiet time stories and bed time stories to add for him. We’d be extremely happy and blessed to add Willa and the Bear to his library.
I want to win, because my niece loves story time!
I did lose my Tinkerbell pendant I had saved for years. I think I got it for Christmas. This would be perfect as I am starting a collection of books for my future grandchild.
One time teddy bear was left on park bench and when we went back it was gone. We ended up finding it at a picnic table a half hr later.
My daughter would love this. My oldest daughter once left her favorite doll at my Mom’s house in VA we lived in GA, not one realized it until we had already left on our trip back home, we were almost 2 hours into our trip before my daughter missed it. I called my mom, who sent my brother to meet us about half way back to my Mom’s house.
My grandchildren are such avid readers. They would absolutely love this enchanting story.

Would love to win this for my daughters! They love bears and play pretend all day with their bears! The worst was when my daughter lost her bear at the mall, one minute it was in her stroller with her and the next it was gone! It was so well-loved and we missed it so much! We searched high and low at the mall, but alas it was gone.
I’d love to win because my daughter (4) and I love to read anything and everything and this book looks super cute. My daughter loves to sleep with a mermaid rag doll but she also takes it everywhere. One time we lost it and tore the whole house apart to find it. Turns out, it was in her bed, stuck between the wall and the mattress! Needless to say, we should have looked more carefully in the bed! ha ha
I’d love to win this book because this book looks awfully cute. I love to sleep with my teddy bear that I got from my grandmother a week before she passed away. It was lost for a short time but it was between the wall and the bed.
I would like to win this for my granddaughter (one of whom lost her favorite stuffed animal on a vacation). Her parents rushed out for a replacement and tried to make amends but the original toy pet must have been discarded by hotel staff (at any rate, it was never seen again).
One time when my daughter was younger she got sick in the middle of the night and let’s just say that my husband wanted to throw out her favorite stuffed animal because it got soiled. I took it upon myself to throw the stuffed animal in a pillowcase, tied it closed, and threw it in the washer on the cold/delicate cycle. After that it was spotless and our daughter was a happy little girl again. My husband actually couldn’t believe that the stuffed animal was not only cleaner, but that it didn’t fall apart. I still feel like a super mom for saving my daughter’s favorite stuffed animal.
I want to win this to donate for holiday gifts for those in need.
