    Ages 4+ | 38 Pages

    Publisher: Mascot Kids | ISBN-13: 978-1643073606

What to Expect: Dogs, Reading Practice, Community

Clare the greyhound has adventures that take her all around the city—from helping her owner get ready for the day to visiting the fair, meeting new people, and seeing exciting things—it’s fun being a dog! There are slippers to chew, cats to chase, and friendly people to say hello to.

Maybe today she’ll go for a walk in the park, or perhaps she’ll run after pigeons in the square or chase a hare through the grass. Maybe she’ll visit the priests in the temple or get petted by the stall owners at the market. Sometimes her antics get her in trouble, but there’s always a cuddle at the end of the day!

Written by a professional English teacher, This is Clare is well-crafted to help budding readers and English language learners to build their vocabulary, practice pronunciation, and improve their reading skills. The text is designed to make reading fun and easy by using short, simple sentences; clever, simple rhymes that demonstrate different phonetic constructions; and everyday vocabulary. Bright illustrations perfectly capture the movements, postures, and characteristics of dogs, helping to bring the story to life.

Clare’s escapades offer a fun and engaging medium for reading and speaking practice, especially for dog enthusiasts, who are sure to enjoy her entertaining personality.
