Book Series Review of Words of the World
    The Children’s Book Review

What to Expect:  board books, animals, oceans, birds, collage, multilingual

This newer series is not to be missed if you have small children!  These multilingual books introduce various languages to little ones (and to adults as well).  Each page features an animal that is created by stunning collages by Motomitsu Maehara.  They are simply works of art.

Surrounding each animal is its name, color-coded, in 7 different languages: English, Chinese, Hindi, Spanish, French, Arabic, and Esperanto.  From an eagle, to a starfish, to a chameleon . . this series covers a wide array of animals for children to learn.  Each book is dedicated to a specific animal concept, but the reader can have some fun and find other ways to use the illustrations for teachable moments as well.  This is the sign of a great book!
