Tiki Time: T-Rex Tiki: Book Cover

    Tiki Time: T-Rex Tiki

Written and illustrated by Creator JJ and Fates

    Ages: 6-8 | 58 Pages

Publisher: Tiki Toons Publishing, LLC (2026) | ISBN: 979-8-9941608-2-4

What to Expect: Teamwork, courage, self-belief, dinosaurs, adventure.

In this second book in the Tiki Time series, Tiki and his friends are very close to reaching the evil, time-traveling sorcerer, King Lauia, and retrieving the sacred Toku Mask they need to save their village. There’s only one problem: King Lauia has dinosaurs guarding his lair! To get to the mask, Tiki and his friends will have to work together to outwit a T. rex, cross a huge chasm, solve an ancient mathematical equation, and get past Lauia’s army—all before the evil King can use his time-travel magic to escape. Can the friends really overcome all these challenges? Only time will tell!

Blending the exciting adventure elements of time-travel, magic, quest obstacles, and fearsome foes with important social messages about self-belief, teamwork, and determination, this installment of the Tiki Time series shows readers just how much Tiki has grown—in both strength and emotional intelligence—since beginning his quest to retrieve the Toku Mask. Tiki and his friends may not have all the answers, but they are brave, resourceful, and supportive of one another, helping readers understand that heroism isn’t just about physical strength. Complementing the action-focused text, the bold, cartoon-style illustrations feature dramatic action sequences that propel the story forward and emphasize the urgency of Tiki’s quest.

Not only is this story perfect for dinosaur lovers and adventure seekers—Tiki Time: T-Rex Tiki is also a great fit for reading discussions that center on SEL learning and the true meaning of heroism.

I think it would be so much fun to go back in time and check out all the dinosaurs! It must have been a beautiful place without cars and smog and so many people! As long as I didn’t wind up as someone’s lunch lol!
