    At Night: Book Cover

    At Night

    Written by Kevin Galpin

    Illustrated by Svitlana Holovchenko

    Ages: 4-6 | 32 Pages

    Publisher: BookLogix (2025) | ISBN: 978-1-6653-1178-6

What to Expect: Imagination, play, magic, dreams, adventure, freedom.

In this imaginative and playful picture book, readers will meet a colorful cast of imaginary creatures, each one unique and fascinating, who live to bring dreams to life.

When you close your eyes and drift off to sleep … there’s a whole world of wonder waiting for you, and the creatures of the night are ready to help you get there! These creatures linger in the darkness under beds, in closets, and even behind curtains, waiting for night to fall so they can guide you into the land of your imagination.

Here they work hard, painting the scenery and playing role after role in the games you dream up, from fearsome dragons and pirates to dancing lions and bears, setting the stage so that you can dream dreams, go on adventures, and shake off the cares of the waking world. Aren’t you lucky to have such helpful creatures waiting for you tonight?

On every page, vibrant artwork in playful primary and pastel colors presents readers with fantastical, whimsical imagery evocative of the surreality of a dreamscape. The text uses short statements in musical rhyming language that create a sense of excitement, heightening readers’ curiosity as they wait to see what each new page will reveal. With its focus on play, wonder, and the escapism of dreams, the story stimulates creativity and emphasizes the value of imagination as an antidote to real-world pressures.

At Night provides pitch-perfect bedtime reading for any young reader who loves getting lost in their own imagination.
