Collision: The Battle For Darracia Collision: The Battle for Darracia - Book 2 (The Darracia Saga) (Volume 2) By Michael Phillip Cash

    By Michael Phillip Cash

    Paperback: 258 pages

    Age Range: 15 and up

Publisher: CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform (March 10, 2014)

    ISBN: 978-1495273483

What to expect: Science-Fiction, Fantasy, Romance, Deception, Family

In this second book of the Darracia Saga, Collision, Michael Phillip Cash continues his sci-fi drama with more deception and multiple character developments that take readers deeper into the solar system and the history of its inhabitants. As the battle for Darracia continues, there are internal traitors, blossoming romances, family tensions and everyone, besides the enemy, is questioning their faith in the Elements.

The first chapter is an intense briefing of Schism, book one, and launches the next step of the saga with the Darracians mourning the loss of their king. As in Schism, Prince V’sair is still struggling with his need to prove himself to the kingdom and he continues to charge ahead with his quest of creating peace and unification between the Darracians and Quyroos. As the new leader, keeping his people safe from an impending attack, which all signs are indicating will be upon them soon, is proving challenging without his family members by his side. He also longs to be reunited with his love, Tulani—their separation creates suspense for those who enjoy romance. When Tulani graces the pages we are reminded of her refreshing feministic strength. Prince V’sair’s stepbrother Zayden has, perhaps, the most personal growth throughout the story as he seeks revenge on his double-crossing Uncle Staf Nuen. Zayden brings an almost Han Solo quality of humor to the pages when he engages both his romantic and masculine sides together. It is a guarantee that he will play a strong role in book three.

The multiple characters and side stories all collide for an almost too quick of an ending in this futuristic novel that holds some old world charm. Collision is to be enjoyed in follow-up to Schism and ends on an almost surprising note that will have true Darracia fans gasping for book three, Risen.
