    About the Author

    Reuel Smith is a graduate student at the University of Maryland at College Park. He has a bachelors and masters degree in aerospace engineering and is currently working for a PhD in reliability engineering. Having been an avid cartoonist for nearly his whole life, he made his online debut of ThunderKid back in 2007. With such inspirations as cartoon studios such as Hanna Barbara and Walt Disney as well as Japanese manga authors such as Naoko Takeuchi and CLAMP, he has been working to bring more children into the world of art, reading, and learning. He currently resides with his father, mother, and two younger sisters in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

      As an educator, I am a real weather buff. I present at the local library program called Science Explosion. This book would be perfect to use in one of these presentations. I could design a whole program around it.
