    About the Author

    Tom Murdoch is an award-winning advertising copywriter and creative director of a boutique advertising agency. Tom has written extensively for a wide range of medical, industrial, and consumer product companies located across the globe. He has collaborated with artists, film stars, and radio personalities over the course of forty years as a partner of Murdoch Marketing, the advertising agency he owns with his wife of 41 years.

    Tom’s first book, It’s OK to be a Puppy, is in its second printing. The book was inspired by Katie, the family’s beloved Italian Greyhound. Where Will You Go, Ricky Jo is the first in a series of children’s ‘travel’ books, inspired by living with three Chihuahuas. While Tom is an avid dog lover, his books are not really focused on dogs, per se, but he uses the puppies to carry a message of optimism for children whom.

    “I hope I can encourage children to be open to all cultures in the world and to influence them with stories of adventure and exploration, as well as acceptance of all puppies, regardless of the color of their fur.”

    Tom lives in Saugatuck, Michigan with his wife Nancy. He continues to serve advertising clients, between golf, travel, and writing. The couple has two grown sons.
