    Exclusion hurts…especially when you’re a kid!

Introducing “Kids’ Reality Books… Real-Life Problems. Real-Life Solutions!”

Written by D. Chambers-Montgomery and Kellen Montgomery

West Chester, OH, 2016 – How can a mom, an eight year old, and a roll of paper towels impact the lives of children? They can create a life-changing solution focused book series. Co-authored by Dwylett Montgomery and 9-year old son, Kellen, “NOT Invited”, is the initial release from the Kids’ Reality Books® series “When Life Hurts”.

When Kellen Montgomery expressed his dislike of reading, his mother, Dwylett, was perplexed. In search of an innovative way to pique Kellen’s interest, a “light bulb” went off in Dwylett.

Dwylett immediately grabbed a nearby roll of paper towels to jot ideas. Kellen became instantly engaged. This inspiration led to the creation of “NOT Invited” which introduces readers to Kellen and shares how he handles not being invited to his best friend’s birthday party.

Kids’ Reality Books® tackle the realities that our children encounter which are sometimes very difficult and painful. The ugly truth is that pets die, friends get jealous, bullies exist, families relocate, and loving parents sometimes have to miss their kids’ special events.

Assistant Principal Patricia Constable says, “After I read NOT Invited I immediately began thinking about all of the ways these stories could be used to encourage kids, from our counselor using them in small groups with children, to classrooms using them in character education lessons, to myself reading them with my two year old. No matter what age, these books have valuable lessons for each reader to learn from and morals to pass along.”

“I read ‘NOT Invited,’ and my first thought was every kid should read this book!” — Principal Joanna Sears

“When you open this powerful book, prepare to be absorbed. NOT Invited invites you to soak up life’s lessons.” – Diana Telles, West Chester & Liberty Lifestyle Magazine

“By far, this is the best story I have enjoyed writing since I have been with Alabama Media Group. It is the story of a mother and son who encountered a problem, fixed it, and have now turned their problem into a business that is geared toward helping other kids. If you have kids, you should read my story and SHARE it as much as possible with fellow parents. Great job Dwylett Chambers Montgomery!” Tyler Carter, The Alabama Media Group

NOT Invited (SIN Invitacion released April 2016) is sold by Barnes & Noble, Amazon.com, Apple iBooks, and Kindle ($16.99 hardcover, $9.99 softcover, $4.99 eBook). “A JEALOUS Friend”, is scheduled for a 2016 release.
