The-Little-SilkwormNEW YORK, NY Raindrop Valley Productions is pleased to announce the release of the new children’s book The Little Silkworm by Christy Hall and Jenney Rabbit, with illustrations by Heekyung Hur.

The Little Silkworm tells the story of a brave young silkworm who, after weaving his very first silken cloth, sets out on a journey to deliver his silken cloth to an unknown, but ultimately kind, nest keeper. While on his quest, he encounters the voices of procrastination (in the form of a lethargic snail), fear (in the form of a faint-hearted ant), and doubt (in the form of a suspicious woodpecker). Ultimately, our little silkworm hero finds the courage to pursue what he knows is in his heart. The Little Silkworm introduces children ages three to eight to the concepts of being true to themselves, and having the perseverance to follow their dreams – all with an unexpected, and uniquely tender ending.

    Reviews

Here’s what a few readers of The Little Silkworm had to say:

“…this tale is so beautiful that I, too, found myself totally charmed and inspired by the message. Qualities of determination, hard work, listening to your inner voice and following your heart’s desire are all beautifully woven into this little gem!” —Rebecca Tryon – singer, actor and mother of a four year-old

“At one level, this is a truly beautiful children’s story. And at another level, I am not sure that any adult will finish this story without being deeply touched by it – which may prompt a question from your child about why your eyes are a little moist when you get to the bottom of the final page!”—John Reed, father of two
