    Overview

Every year Elisabetta Ponti organizes The Children’s Italian Book Fairs in the Bay Area. Hundreds of Italian books for children (0 to 13 years old) selected from some of the most distinguished Italian publishers.

    Story

La Festa del Libro: A Children’s Italian Book Fair Extravaganza is an annual event organized by Elisabetta Ponti since 2008. After exchanging Italian books with other moms eager to transmit not only her language but also her traditions and cultural heritage, the idea of celebrating once a year the creativity and imagination of Italian Children’s authors has emerged as evidence.

Encouraged by Book Passage who has hosted the fair during the past editions, Elisabetta has been increasingly supported by Italian schools, language programs, parents and Italian culture lovers and the fair is now one of the main Italian cultural events of the Bay Area.

In the last two year La Festa del Libro has moved to the Museo Italo Americano where families can, along with the books appreciate exhibits from Italian artists. During the fair, kids can enjoy Story Times (in Italian) at 11am and 3pm on Saturday and Sunday.
