The Incredible Adventures of Casper the Cat Who Got Lost in Africa, Book 1: The Pangolins Awareness Tour is presented in partnership* with Jennifer Ussi and The Children’s Book Review.

Adventure, empathy, and African wildlife come to life in Jennifer Ussi’s The Pangolins, the first installment of The Incredible Adventures of Casper the Cat Who Got Lost in Africa.

Casper may be a clever city cat, but nothing has prepared her for the moment she finds herself truly lost in the wide African bush — surrounded by strange sounds, crawling bugs, and a sweeping dark she has never known. Convinced the wilderness is no place for a little cat like her, Casper clings to fear until she meets a gentle, scale-covered pangolin who changes everything. Through their unlikely friendship, she begins to see the world with new eyes — learning what trust looks like, discovering courage she didn’t know she had, and realizing why protecting vulnerable creatures matters more than she ever imagined.

Award-winning filmmaker turned author Jennifer Ussi’s writing strikes an excellent balance between storytelling and education, breaking the narrative into manageable chapters perfect for emerging readers.

    —The Children’s Book Review

I think people should be protecting coral reefs. I don’t know if corals are animals or plants, but they support large varied ecosystems all over the world in the oceans. It’s definitely time to care about Corals.
