    Publisher: Independently published | ISBN-13: 978-1730893063

What to expect: Monarch Butterflies, Facts, Rhyming Text

In this fact-filled rhyming story book, author Cathie Moog shares her insights and photographs of the majestic Monarch butterfly.

Beginning with a series of tips, readers embark on a journey through photos and a rhyming story that is chock-full of information about the lifecycle of Monarch butterflies. Moog’s photographs beautifully depict the lifecycle with close-up images, including the process of metamorphosis. Through her thoughtful and caring words, The Miracle of Monarchs will certainly pique a child’s curiosity in the butterfly, all the while teaching them to be good stewards of the environment. Readers will discover the actions they can take to help save the Monarchs and their dwindling natural habitats. Moog wisely explains how even a little action can have enormous consequences: what affects one will affect another. The intelligent backmatter includes kid-friendly fun facts (Did you know that butterflies smell through their feet?), the parts of a butterfly, a description of the mysterious Monarch migration, and a glossary of terms—not to mention a list of additional online references and resources. There’s also a link for readers to receive free milkwood seeds to help save the Monarchs.

The Miracle of the Monarchs: Monarchs Matter is bound to be enjoyed in the classroom, as well as in backyard adventures. By learning about the Monarch and the ways they can help increase the Monarch population, readers will be able to connect to the broader message of spreading kindness and working together to take care of our planet.
