On a magical adventure, I’d choose a bunny as my talking pet-companion. Rabbits are such entertaining, silly pets to have!

Hi Melanie! Ah, BUNNIES! An old friend of mine had a pet bunny named Smokie, a pretty. Smokie was a smart little girl, nose twitching, eyes so large and bright! Watching her zoom around the living room was a sight!

I would hope that when a writer crafts a story where their main character travels with an animal companion (talking or not), that they have a particular personality and/or animal in-mind so they interact in a natural way while they journey together.

Why not write a magical adventure including a bunny?

Since I have three cats “helping” me fill out this form, I think I’ll answer that a talking cat would be a fun companion. We recently lost their brother, and during his illness I wished he and I could have had two-way conversations–I said many things to him and wished I could have understood everything he was trying to tell me with his face and mewing. The boy was quite a talker. 🙂

Hi Beth T., yes. Both David and I are animal people and have had many cats and dogs in our lives. We’ve befriended our friends’ pets, too. My condolences to your household; it’s so very tough when our fur-babies get old and/or ill. Yet, I know we wouldn’t trade our time with them for anything! Our last one (Logan) was also big on chit-chat. Which reminds me, I think we’ll start posting more about the real and mythological animals behind ‘The Three Stones of Ebon’. I you haven’t already, check us out on FB and IG. Thanks for the post!
