I have a Nativity set that was my mother’s. It is about 60 years old and was a staple decoration and symbol every Christmas I can remember. It brings back a sense of nostalgia whenever I set it out because my mother died when I was a teen and the Nativity set was very dear to her (and me as well.)

50+ years ago the cabbage patch dolls came out. My soon to be sister in law wanted one bad so she could give it to her future baby girl. My ex sister in law still has that unopened doll waiting for a baby girl grandchild MEMORIES

We always opened a book every Christmas Eve–when we were little it was a “surprise” every year that the present we unwrapped was a book. 😂 It kept us quiet and happy while we waited for Santa. So, books like this make me nostalgic and it makes me happy to give them to the kids in my circle.
