What to Expect: Humorous and Kid-Friendly Joke Book

Anyone that has spent time with children knows that they love a good joke … and even more so, to make up a good joke of their own. What Underwear Does a Zebra Wear? is a joke book written for kids by a kid. The jokes in this book are all written on a level that the intended audience will truly appreciate.

Each of the eleven jokes written by Henley Belle (in collaboration with her mom Elle Muliarchyk) offers a play on words; such as: “What do TOES eat for breakfast? Toe-st!!” and “What’s a horse’s favorite drink? Lemo-NEIGH-d!!”

Under the heading of “This is not a joke,” the final page offers some fun facts about the featured topics of the jokes that are certain to peak interest. Did you know that a cow drinks the equivalent of a bathtub of water every day?

Anna Dalbuz’s colorful illustrations are bright and friendly, adding context and a touch of extra humor to the enjoyable text. The characters have large expressive eyes and often showcase an inviting and cheerful grin.

All in all, What Underwear Does a Zebra Wear? is an uplifting picture book for the preschoolers in your life! Fair warning: You may need to prepare a stage area with a microphone, stool, and a glass of water, because your young stand-up comedian will surely be inspired to create and share their own funny jokes.
