    Space Baby: Book Cover

    Space Baby

    Written by Jay Dee

    Illustrated by Tom McGrath

    Ages 3+ | 32 Pages

    Publisher: Kraine Kreative | ISBN-13: 9781777426118

What to Expect: Space, adventure, family, imagination

For all the space-loving kids out there, Space Baby is a fun and heart-warming exploration of outer space and the ties that hold families together.

Angelic and Ollie love exploring space. When it’s time for bed, they wonder what might be out there, and their Daddy tells them that the most wonderful thing in outer space is his love for them, which he left out there and everywhere else in the universe. However, Angelic is worried—Daddy’s love might be out there, but what about her love for Ollie? She hasn’t been to the whole universe to leave her love for Ollie there yet! So, when the lights go out, she takes Ollie on a spectacular tour of the universe. Space Baby Mission is launched!

The book takes readers on a tour of planets, moons, satellites, and comets, accurately representing the sights of the solar system and educating readers about common terms and characteristics. At the same time, the narrative subtly sends the message that love for one’s family members is all-pervasive and unquestionable. Bright, bold illustrations emphasize emotions, helping to reinforce this message.

Space Baby is a lovely way to introduce young readers to the science of space while sharing quality reading and emotional learning time.

    About the Illustrator

Tom McGrath is based in the North West of England, working as a freelance illustrator since 2012. Despite being repeatedly told that all artists drink too much absinthe, cut their own ears off, and only make money after they’re dead—he has always wanted to be one. In fact, this has only encouraged him. He still has both his ears.
