    Written by Chris Parsons

    Narrated by Brandon McInnis

    Age Range: 7+

    Length: 1hr 52 mins

    Publisher: Zuroam Media

    ISBN: 9781735145525

What to expect: Animal Friends, Magic, Daring Adventure

When the Dragon fire goes out and the air begins to chill in Lake Zuron, Spark, a little mouse ready to prove himself, bravely tasks himself with facing a great enemy and restoring peace and warmth to their hometown that has, up until now, always offered harmony for all. A long and chilling journey, through mountains no one passes, lays ahead of Spark. It will take bravery, comradery, and Daniel Dragon’s magical powers to stop their world from icing over. Will Spark and his friends succeed in taking down the enemy?

Voice actor Brandon McInnis provides an invigorating reading that vibrantly adds to the fairy tale feel of Chris Parson’s text. McInnis’s creative and emotive voices range from soothing to sinister, creating suspense and tension with an abundance of lively music, song, and sound effects that make the story easy to visualize and a joy to listen to. Listeners will soon recognize that we could all do with a little inner spark of our own to bring warmth to our lives. The closing notes read by the narrator help digest some valuable lessons found in the story, such as people deserve second chances, be careful not to judge others too quickly, friends look after friends, and everyone deserves equality and respect.

Fire-breathing dragons, magical powers, and adventure add a high level of appeal for those who enjoy the fantasy genre. Thanks to the lively cast of characters, young listeners, ages seven and up, will readily follow this tale of an unlikely conqueror.
