Thank you for the chance. I have a pen pal who is at the other end of town and she loves to read. I know that this is one that her mom would love to read to all three of her kids. They don’t yet have a bookshelf but she has reread some of the books that they have. This little one is so special to me as I am battling a disease RSD and she writes the nicest letters to me. Her mom writes them but she says what she wants on the letters. I had told her my grandkids all live in Ca and we live in Ia and had her mom show her on the map how far away they are and she tells me how sorry she is . I met her as each pre-school child picked someone from a list of sick people that attend church not know what they have but that they were given communion at home and I got her letter. What a match god made for me as I just love getting her letters and I write right away back to her sending her special little things in each letter.

I think kids like books about animals because animals are so telling with their state of mind (hungry, happy, sad). Those emotions are so real to little kids.

I would love to gift this to my granddaughter. She is a huge animal lover and loves reading about them rather they be made up stories involving them or factual. I think kids love animals because they do not see them as anything authoritative and each her their own look that is often so different from each other which I think fascinates kids.
