    A person holding a book

It’s no secret to us that giving books is one of the greatest gifts you can give; but do you want to know what’s even better than giving a book that has been carefully selected for you? Being on the receiving end—especially when the book is beautifully illustrated and has been personalized just for you.

Chronicle Books, based in San Francisco, has begun offering a new service where you can find an excellent selection of books and have your own personal dedication added—the list of books includes TCBR favorite and bestselling Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site. There are a bunch of fun related products to match, too, like, placemats, lunch boxes, and growth charts.

Personalized Picture BookGoing beyond the dedication, there is a group of five books that are all set up to be fully personalized: Princess, Speedster, What Big Brother Does Best, What Big Sister Does Best, and Petite Collage Baby Book. We took a turn of personalizing the “Princess” option: “You can insert your child’s name, upload her photo, choose her favorite color for the princess’s dress and hair, pick special qualities that you love about your princess, and even insert her birthday and hometown for details throughout.” From the moment we clicked “Personalize It!” it was an incredibly quick and intuitive process and the option to preview gave us a great sense of how the actual book would be presented once printed. You do have to allow for 5 business days in addition to shipping time, but this is a small amount of time for the quality of the printing on a made-to-order gift. Overall, the experience of creating the book and the enjoyment had by the recipient makes this a no-brainer gift idea for any child anytime of year.

MyChronicleBooks.com is highly recommended by TCBR!
