Ripples Awareness Tour is presented in partnership* with Katie Yamasaki and The Children’s Book Review.

Join us as we launch the virtual book tour for Ripples by Katie Yamasaki, a moving picture book about compassion, community, and caring for our shared world.

What begins as a quiet day on the river becomes a powerful reflection on connection, community, and care. As a young girl and her aunt float along, they witness moments of compassion unfolding all around them, each one a small ripple that grows into something larger. These shared acts of kindness ultimately bring people together to protect and restore the river they all depend on. Thoughtful and timely, Ripples offers a beautiful reminder that caring for the earth starts with how we care for one another.

    Ripples: Book Cover

The artwork’s lush brushstrokes exude movement and energy… The work’s final words―“we make ripples”― resonate with layered meaning around not only a day’s paddle but circles of connection between community and the natural world.

    —Publishers Weekly

Readers who join us on this virtual book tour will have the chance to win one of ten hardcover copies of Ripples by Katie Yamasaki. One grand prize winner will receive a hardcover copy of Ripples, a double-sided Ripples poster, and hardcover copies of five of Yamasaki’s other beloved picture books—Dad Bakes, Place Hand Here, Everything Naomi Loved, Mural Island, and Shapes, Lines, and Light. Don’t miss your chance to bring this inspiring story of care and connection home. Enter below!
