    Terry the Fairy: Book Cover

    Terry the Fairy

    Written by Candace Lopez

    Illustrated by Kadysha

    Ages: 4-6 | 38 Pages

Publisher: Bellazo Books, LLC (2025) | ISBN: 979-8-218-60992-4

What to Expect: Magic, God’s purpose, prayer, discovery, and individuality.

In this story about difference, faith, and finding your purpose in life, readers will learn that it’s okay to be different, because every person has unique skills and characteristics according to God’s purpose.

Terry has the most beautiful wings in Fairyland—they shine more brightly than anyone else’s.  Even though everyone admires his wings, Terry is not satisfied with them because he can’t fly! While his friends soar through the air having fun, Terry wonders miserably why God made him with such useless wings.

Then, Terry prays and everything changes. As darkness falls, Terry’s prayers are interrupted by the cries of his friends—the fairy dust has run out and they can’t see in the dark to find their way home! Terry’s moment has come at last: with his wings shining bright, he leads the other fairies home safely and finally understands that even though his wings are different, they have their own, unique purpose in God’s plan.

With his enviable beauty and his self-doubt, Terry is a sympathetic main character, and readers can follow his model of faith and perseverance in their own moments of self-doubt. The story uses simple rhyming text, perfect for beginner readers, with plenty of dialogue to help keep readers immersed in the story. Vibrant digital artwork uses contrasts between light and dark to help each page glow and sparkle, while quirky fonts and text effects underscore the most important moments in the narrative.

For readers who struggle with being different, Terry the Fairy is a gentle reminder that we all have a place in God’s plan.
