Have you seen the adorable ARTWALKS kids shoes based on your favorite children’s books? They have been beautifully designed to support children’s book artists and encourage kids to read and be creative.

Created by Ben Zhu (an illustrator turned full time manager at an art gallery called Nucleus) and Asako (a footwear designer for Children’s and Women’s for over ten years), the ARTWALKS team aim to inspire a love for art and reading, one pair of gorgeous shoes at a time. They are beginning their journey through a Kickstarter campaign that you can check out here. There are loads of wonderful pledge rewards, including shoes and original artwork!

I Want My Hat BackI Want My Hat Back

Written and Illustrated by Jon Klassen

Publisher’s Synopsis: The bear’s hat is gone, and he wants it back. Patiently and politely, he asks the animals he comes across, one by one, whether they have seen it. Each animal says no, some more elaborately than others. But just as the bear begins to despond, a deer comes by and asks a simple question that sparks the bear’s memory and renews his search with a vengeance. Told completely in dialogue, this delicious take on the classic repetitive tale plays out in sly illustrations laced with visual humor— and winks at the reader with a wry irreverence that will have kids of all ages thrilled to be in on the joke.

What colorful books with interesting plots and pictures. Children like to read similar stories about animals and their friends.
