When the school bus runs out of fuel, the bus driver takes his three zebra passengers on an exhilarating adventure through the alphabet to help them reach their home (in the zoo, of course) again. The friends hike, travel in ski-lifts, float on logs, ride unicycles, and even hitch a ride on a pirate ship! Along the way, they encounter friendly octopuses, get lost in the desert, brave rainstorms and seasickness, and occasionally get frustrated with one another. But their ingenuity pays off—they don’t just make it home safely; they also have a lot of fun along the way!
The driver and his four passengers are sometimes excited by their journey and sometimes frustrated, and their travails are sure to raise giggles from young readers. The vibrant, hand-drawn artwork mimics the style of young artists, further enhancing the text’s relatability and fun.

About the Author
Davon Miller is an author and illustrator who published his first book at the age of eleven. Starting as a child drawing with crayons, Davon has spent over a decade writing and illustrating children’s books, further allowing his art to inspire children to craft their own stories. Davon holds a B.A. in English for Creative Writing from the University of Central Florida. He became a Sunshine Ambassador for St. Petersburg, Florida, for his philanthropic efforts that support literacy. Davon and his works have been highlighted and included in the Tampa Bay Rays reading program “Reading with the Rays.”
