He Made It All: A Rhyming Creation Story

    Written by LaBena Fleming

    Illustrated by Joseph Martins

    Ages: 4-9 | 30 Pages

    Publisher: Self-Published (2025) | ISBN: 978-1735520643

What to Expect: Bible verse, creationism, rhyming verse.

For many, the creation story is not only a tale of beginnings but also an essential foundation that provides meaning, purpose, and order to life, which can be best approached through storytelling and art.

He Made It All: A Rhyming Creation Story, written by author LaBena Fleming, gently introduces the concept of creationism. Thanks to carefully crafted, age-appropriate language, Fleming ensures that the book is suitable for young readers by pairing her words with corresponding verses from the King James Bible. These verses help readers connect and cultivate a deeper understanding of how the world came to be, as described in the Bible. Delivered with rhythm and rhyme, the story presents creationism in a way that is both memorable and meaningful.

Complementing Fleming’s words are the inviting and realistic images of illustrator Joseph Martins. His artwork immediately captures the eye and imagination, while conveying the magnificence of God’s creation and respect for the natural wonders He created. The richly colored imagery not only complements the text but also creates an immersive reading experience, engaging readers in the story of creation.

He Made It All: A Rhyming Creation Story is a colorful and lyrical book that would make a wonderful addition to both home and Sunday School libraries for readers of all ages.

    About the Author

LaBena Fleming is an author, educator, and faith-filled encourager. Whether she is writing books, reading scripture live on Facebook, or speaking to caregivers and families, her mission is simple: to share God’s Word and uplift hearts.

After years in education and hospice care, she stepped into one of life’s most sacred roles—caring for her mother during her Alzheimer’s journey. That experience changed everything. It led her to write books that offer hope, healing, and spiritual guidance to caregivers walking a similar path.

Now, she is thrilled to bring that same heart to children’s literature with He Made It All: A Rhyming Creation Story, the first in her “God Said Series.” Through playful rhyme and vibrant storytelling, she helps young readers discover the beauty of God’s creation and His love.

She lives in Richmond Heights, Ohio, with her husband, Michael, and cherishes time with her daughters, granddaughter, and grand kitties. When she is not writing, you will find her gardening, cooking, reading, traveling—or sharing scripture live each weekday morning.

Come walk with LaBena—with faith and purpose.
