    God vs. the World

What to Expect: Youth author, faith, responsibility, ambition, revenge.

God vs. the World is a classic Gods versus Human heroes quest story penned by a creative young author with a wild imagination and a firm grasp of gaming and social media influence.

Once upon a time, there were a lot of Gods, all of whom had the power of creation. But one God, craftier than the rest, wanted more power—he wanted to be the God of Gods, the only one with the power of unlimited creation. He tricked the other Gods and stole their power, and they were understandably angry. They decided to ruin his creations with poverty, crime, disease, and all the other evils that plague humanity.

When the rich and successful human Elon loses his best friend, Dack, he becomes angry at God—why should such an all-powerful being allow things like death and sadness to exist? Elon decides it’s time for revenge—he hatches a plan to kill God. And this isn’t good news for this selfish, over-ambitious God—especially as he is too distracted by his tangled love life to be paying attention to humans right now!

The human hero, Elon, is smart and driven. At the same time, his adversary, God, is greedy, selfish, and cunning—but both are highly ambitious, making them perfect foils for one another. Peppered with references to gaming, gamers, and game culture, readers who enjoy Roblox games will surely love the detailed and complex game-based strategies the heroes employ. The DALL-E-generated animé-style artwork, with its unique and vibrant visuals, further evokes the gaming theme, bringing the supernatural characters to life on the page and exciting the reader’s imagination.

Not just a story about gaming, the narrative also invites readers to think more deeply about the questions of faith, loss, and responsibility that are at the heart of many quest stories. God vs. the World is an imaginative and fun story and shows that you are never too young to become a writer!
